Personal information and “Results about you”
Google allows requests to assess results displaying certain contact details and personal identifiers. The “Results about you” tool may also help find phone numbers, addresses or email addresses in eligible results. Exceptions may apply, for example, to government, educational or news pages and information considered valuable to the public.
Doxxing and intimate content
Policies cover certain cases of doxxing, personal sexual imagery and fake or manipulated sexual content. Forms request context and URLs. Do not capture or submit imagery involving sexual exploitation of minors; use the specific channels indicated by authorities and platforms.
Outdated content and legal removal
If the source page has changed or disappeared, the outdated content refresh tool may be appropriate. When the request is based on local law, copyright, trademark or a court order, Google maintains separate legal channels. A policy form does not replace legal notice and vice versa.
What happens after approval
Depending on the case, the URL may stop appearing in all queries or only in searches containing the name or identifier. The information remains on the source site until its owner removes it. Keep the confirmation, test the URL and address the source separately when possible and safe.
